It was raining in Maine the day of my tour to Lincolnville but things soon cleared up. My feelings were mixed. Maine restaurants are known for their lobster and you can’t go very far into a coastal town without seeing lobster signs everywhere. I won’t detail all that goes into getting a lobster from sea to dinner plate, but I will make this plea to Maine: stop torturing lobsters! Aside from that, my visit was a sheer delight and I wondered if everyone felt such a kinship with the little town of Lincolnville.

This is not the sort of walk across America where the goal is to arrive from point A to point B. It’s a lifestyle where walking allows time and space to meet the ground, the sky and the people who dwell in between; and through the process, introduce America to Natural Law.
