I’m sleeping well these days. And no matter how bleary-eyed I feel in the morning, I always know what to do. My routine is the same. Make coffee, drink coffee, enjoy the morning. Eventually I put on my boots and start walking.
What do I think about while I’m walking? So far, my mind is occupied with walking responsibly, keeping a safe distance from moving vehicles and watching my step. Occasionally my mind wanders. I notice my shadow stretched out before me or catch a glimpse of myself in a window as I pass and think, you know, Einstein’s hair wasn’t really all that bad.
This is not the sort of walk across America where the goal is not necessarily to arrive from point A to point B. It’s a new lifetyle, for now, where walking allows time and space to meet the ground and the sky, and the people who dwell in between; and through the process, introduce America to Natural Law.
